UpesiLipa is hotspot billing software built for Tanzanian WiFi businesses. A customer joins your WiFi, pays by mobile money or enters a voucher code, and gets online without you doing anything. This page explains what it does, what hardware it runs on, and what it will not fix.

Ask before you buy anything. In most cases the equipment you already own is enough.
Both work side by side. Vouchers print as a PDF in six designs, and a customer needs no phone number or name to use one.
A 24 hour package ends 24 hours after it starts, whether or not the customer stayed connected. Customers already understand this.
Sales by day, week and month, split by mobile money and voucher. Failed payments are listed with the reason, and statements export to PDF for any date range.
See which router or access point is online, how many customers are connected and how much data was used.
Add locations as you grow. A code bought at one of your branches also works at the others.
Give each staff member their own login and choose what they can do, including whether they see money figures.
If you install networks for clients, UpesiLipa lets you hand over a working paid hotspot without maintaining a server. Setup is a single command on MikroTik, or registering the access point on Omada. The dashboard works on a phone, so your client can run the business without you.

Billing software cannot repair a weak internet line or undersized hardware. If the bandwidth you buy is too small for your customers, they will complain however good the billing is. A router with little memory will struggle as sales grow. We ask what you have first, and tell you honestly before you spend money.
